Total Plc To complete OML 58, Ofon Phase Two Projects In 2015

Total Plc has said the completion of its two major projects in Nigeria by this year will increase the company’s oil output to 60,000 barrel per day despite the plunge in global oil prices.
Speaking at the recently concluded Nigeria Oil & Gas 2015 conference in Abuja, CEO of Total’s Nigerian producing unit, Elizabeth Proust said; “For Total, we are revisiting our projects because low oil prices mean less capital expenditure, less operating expenditure. But I can tell you that in Nigeria we will complete two major projects as planned for in 2015”.
She revealed that the projects are the upgrade of the OML 58 and Ofon phase two. She said the company plans to add around 60,000 b/d to its oil production.
