Eleven people have been killed in a stampede after a religious service in a stadium in Zimbabwe, police say. Four people died in the stadium in the central town of Kwekwe, while seven others were declared dead on arrival in hospital, they say. Thee stampede occurred as thousands of worshippers rushed to leave after the service by popular Pentecostal preacher Walter Magaya. He claims to be able to heal people by performing miracles. The accusations just keep on piling up against Bill Cosby. As more women come out to say that he assaulted them, media and TV corporations are officially taking a stand by cancelling projects and postponing shows that have to do with Bill Cosby. Talk show host Wendy Williams shares her views on the whole debacle as well as stating that in 1990 she tried to tell the world about Bill Cosby and he tried to get her fired as a result. Watch her video below (start from the 9:00 minute mark) Meanwhile, NBC has decided to pull the plug on a sitcom it was developing with the comedian for next year. Some male students Obosima Secondary Technical School in Imo State attacked a female teacher with machetes. The unfortunate incident occurred because the victim, Mary-Ann Oguezuonu,scolded a female JSS2 student who had changed from school uniform into a skimpy outfit that was deemed inappropriate for a school environment. Oguezuonu threatened that school authorities would send her away from the school if she was ever seen dressing in that manner again. While advising the young girl, an SS1 male student confronted her, telling her to stop embarrassing the girl, Vanguard reports.

Dozens of people have been killed in an attack by suspected Boko Haram militants in north-eastern Nigeria, officials and witnesses say. Gunmen rampaged through the village of Azaya Kura in the Mafa area in Borno state, killing at least 45 people. Shettima Lawan, caretaker chairman of the local government, called it "wicked and despicable", AFP reports. Continue...

Two Tunisian policeman convicted of raping a woman in a police car have had their sentences more than doubled in a high-profile court case. The officers were jailed for seven years in March, drawing accusations of leniency. The sentences were extended to 15 years on Thursday after an appeal by the victim, known as Meriem Ben Mohamed. Her lawyer described the verdict as "a great step forward" in the way rape cases are prosecuted in Tunisia. She told the AFP news agency she was "satisfied" the penalty had been toughened. "But it's still not enough, in my view, for the filthy crimes which they committed," she said. Speaking to AFP, defence lawyer Sami Rebai described the sentences as "excessive", without saying if the policemen would appeal to a higher court. Continue...
