The married father of two allegedly scammed the women out of almost £100,000 after pretending to be a Royal Marine on Match.com, named Timmy Francis, who owned an orphanage in Africa. On one of his profiles, he had the nickname ‘Charismatic Brit,’ and on the other, ‘To live and love.’ He claimed he was looking for love. Adewole is said to have used a picture of of an actual Royal Marine Commando called Joshua McGowan, as his display picture. Sources say he told the women he had been robbed at his “orphanage,” and so they sent him money and paid his bills. Unknown to them, Adewole was diverting the money into his wife’s bank account. The Pour It Up singer took to the social media app to playfully call attention to a throwback photo of a much younger version of the rapper. The 80s-looking image features the then-aspiring artist wearing gold grills and a matching thick gold chain. Despite poking fun at the rapper, the 26-year-old owes much of her fame to Jay Z, who signed her to Def Jam Records in 2003 as then-president of the label.

The International Criminal Court, ICC, has withdrawn charges of crimes against humanity against President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya. Mr. Kenyatta was charged at The Hague-based court over his alleged role in the post-election that engulfed his country in 2007. At least 1,000 people were killed. ICC prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, said the charges could not be sustained. A statement said the evidence had “not improved to such an extent that Mr Kenyatta’s alleged criminal responsibility can be proven beyond reasonable doubt”, the BBC reports.

A famous womans’ attorney, Gloria Allred, is reportedly asking Bill Cosby to pay a settlement fee of $100 million or go to court over rape allegations made by several women in the past few weeks. Gloria Allred, who has been very vocal about the allegations, proposed two solutions for the comedian and American dad figure – he should either give up the statute of limitations which will allow his accusers to file a lawsuit or he should put $100 million into a fund where judges can decide the way in which each victim can be compensated. According to Gloria Allred, this scandal has lasted too long and it is a huge cloud on his reputation and legacy.

Akinwumi Ambode has reportedly won the Lagos State All Progressives Congress, APC. Ambode, 51, is a public finance management expert and accountant. He is said to have defeated prominent candidates including Tayo Ayinde, former Attorney-General, Olasupo Shasore, former Commissioner for Special Duties; Leke Pitan, Commissioner for Health, and others to win the ticket. The party hasn’t made an official announcement about Ambode’s victory yet. But several reputable news sources are reporting the news.
