                   Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has promised to investigate the circumstances leading to the collapse last week of a church building which killed one person and injured two others. Oshiomhole gave the assurance when he addressed the residents of the area during a visit to the site of the collapsed storey building at the Christ Chosen Church of God. The governor urged the youth and the people angered by the incident to exercise patience.                        America and five Arab countries have launched dozens of air strikes against Islamic terrorist group ISIS, killing at least 20 militants and blasting a series of its bases. The attacks - described as 'shock without awe' - began early this morning local time, with Tomahawk missiles, B1 bombers, F16, F18 and F22 strike fighters and drones involved. American air power was backed by 'participation or support' from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and the UAE - a coalition of nations that has agreed to assist with the destruction of ISIS.                          Ten additional Boko Haram terrorists surrendered to troops at Kawuri in Borno on Sunday, security update posted on Defence Headquarters’ (DHQ) website said on Monday. It said that the terrorists, who voluntarily gave up, had been taken into custody for necessary security debriefing. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that five terrorists surrendered to troops on Saturday at Konduga, Borno, along with their weapons and pleaded for mercy. The statement said contrary to reports, no raid was carried out by Cameroonian military in Nigeria. “All ongoing operations in the environs of Konduga and associated border locations within the country are completely being undertaken by Nigerian troops. “While the Nigerian military is yet to officially name some of the top terrorists killed in recent operations, more suspected insurgents have continued to surrender themselves to the troops,” it said.

                          A 30-year-old man has allegedly raped a 20-year-old girl (names withheld) and uploaded pictures, taken during the act, on the social media.  According to source report that the suspect, Olaniyan Oluwakayode, who hails from Osun State allegedly, raped the victim in his apartment at Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of the state. The victim, a native of Akwa Ibom State, alleged that after being raped, Oluwakayode took her pictures and uploaded them on a popular social media despite pleas from his sister not to do so. Oluwakayode, the suspect, however denied ever raping her, saying “she was my girlfriend.” Speaking to newsmen, the victim said Oluwakayode was never her boyfriend or fiancée, saying “I have my own boyfriend.      11 year old Mamadee is inspiration that no matter what you’re going through, a positive attitude can change your outlook and the outcome of your situation. Liberian Mamadee was a confirmed Ebola patient who used to dance in the camp, making everyone happy. A few weeks after being admitted, he recovered. His sister, who was admitted with him, unfortunately passed away.
