Full List of the AMVCA Winners

AMVCA Nollywood gave a good account of its self at the second edition of the African Magic viewers Chioce Awards (AMVCA) held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the convention center of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, with Nollywood actors and actresses carting home awards.    The list of winners include the who-is-who in Africa with the movie  Nairobi Half Life  turning out to be the revelation of the day. However,  The Contract , a movie directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso won the big prize in Movie of the Year category making it the best movie in Africa in the year under review. See below the list of all the winners at the prestigious event establishing Africa in the global stage of movie-making.

AMVCA nomination: Amstel Malta salutes O.C. Ukeje

Ukeje He is up against Fabian Adeoye Lojede and Kenneth Uphopho  for their roles in  Jacob’s Cross  and  Down & Out  respectively. Also  nominated in the same category are Edward Kagutuzi for Mirror Boy  and  Jafta Mamabolo for his character in  Otelo Burning . The Brand Manager, Amstel Malta, Nigerian  Breweries Plc. Mrs. Adedoyin Owotomo, notes in a statement  that the actor’s nomination as an affirmation of  his acting prowess. She says, “O. C Ukeje first shot to limelight when  he won Amstel Malta Box Office in 2007; and this earned him the lead  role in  White Waters , for which he won Best Upcoming Actor at the  African Movie Academy Awards, for his splendid performance in the  movie. Keshi to submit 40-man world cup list

Keshi Nigerian held coach Stephen Keshi is expecting to submit a list of 40 players to the Nff soon that he would like to look at before deciding on the final 23 for the Super Eagles & rsquo; 2014 World cup campaign in Brazil, Kickoff. The FIFA deadline for the final list of 23 players for all the countries participating is June 2, ahead of the tournament which will kick-off on June 12. The Nigeria side is placed in  Group F, they will facing the Iran,Bosnia- Herzegovina and Argentina.
