 Akas Wazobia FM presenter Anthony Akatakpo shared his experience at the hands of kidnappers to journalist, and said he would not wish it on anybody. He said that the doctor was brought in by his abductors to treat him for the bullet wound he sustained during the kidnapping. He also revealed that for the seven days he was in captivity he was fed only fufu, bread and water. He also said that the abductors blamed the government for the increases in the rate of kidnappers.
