Dora Akunyili’s Daughter Njideka Crosby Wins Smithsonian American Art Museum’s 2014 James Dicke Prize




Former Minister of Information and Communications, late Dora Akunyili’sdaughter, Njideka Akunyili-Crosby, has won the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s 2014 James Dicke Prize.
Crosby, 32, is a mixed-media artist.
The prestigious award “recognizes an artist younger than 50 who has produced a significant body of work and consistently demonstrates exceptional creativity,”Art News reports.

According to reports, the award comes with a $25,000.
