LASU directs students to go on recess

The authorities of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, on Monday directed students of the institution to proceed on recess with immediate effect.
In a statement, the management said that the directive affected the full-time, part-time and postgraduate students.
It said that resumption of academic activities would be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Kayode Sutton, said that the management took the decision to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.
Activities at the school have been paralysed following the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, LASU chapter.
