New LASU fees approved
The School Governing Council of the Lagos State University has approved a new fee structure for students following the decision by Government to reduce fees by 60 percent.
The school council has reduced the fees by more than 49 percent.
“In view of this development, the Management has now directed that all students of the University (Full-Time, Part-Time and Postgraduate) are to resume for the session on Monday, June 23, 2014 to commence the payment of school fees/ registration for the 2013/2014 academic session," management wrote in a release.
The statement enjoined students to be law- abiding and to go about their academic activities without fear of any molestation. It would be recalled that the Management directed all Students of the University to proceed on recess with immediate effect.
The University management reiterated that the rescheduled fee is not applicable to students at 400 level and above.
Students of the institution had taken to the street to protest the high school fee imposed on them by the school authority.
