True cost of Dre Beats headphones revealed

The retail prices of the popular Beats by Dre headphones range from $200 to $700. But the actual cost of making each headset is $14, according to Daily Mail.
You will recall that the company’s founders, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine sold the company to Apple in May 2014 during a hefty deal that included approximately $400 million in stocks and $2.6 billion in cash.
The least expensive pair of Beats headphones that is listed on the company's website costs $199.99 and the most expensive pair retails for $699.99.
Dre and Iovine created the company in the mid-2000s.
Beats grew to become worth $3.2billion after cornering 57 per cent of the market for 'premium' headphones, CNN reported.
Overall, the company controlled 27 per cent of the $1.8billion headphone market in 2014.

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.
