Serena Williams Strips Down for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue

Sports Illustrated's highly anticipated annual swimsuit issue is here, and once again it's not just models like Hailey Clauson, Hannah Jeter, and three-time cover star Kate Upton who are featured. Athletes grace its pages, too—and this year Serena Williams joins the ranks of athletes-turned-SI models like Ronda Rousey (2016), Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard (2006), and Steffi Graf (1997). In typical Serena Williams fashion, she dove right in fearlessly, game to wear any outfit the SI team threw at her.

Alleged fraud: Filmmaker Egbegbe to remain in prison

Nollywood filmmaker, Seun Egbegbe, is to remain in prison till Tuesday when the Federal High Court in Lagos will hear his bail application. The Police Special Fraud Unit last Friday arraigned Egbegbe (also known as Olajide Kazeem), for alleged serial fraud involving N39, 098,100, $90,000 and £12,550. He was arraigned on 36 counts with Oyekan Ayomide, with whom he allegedly conspired to perpetrate the fraud between 2015 and last February 2. They were accused of defrauding Bureau De Change (BDC) operators. Defence counsel Miss. A. O. Gbadamoshi said she completed the process of filing the bail applications on Tuesday. Police prosecutor Innocent Anyigor said he was unable to file a counter affidavit to the applications as he was served yesterday, adding that he needed time to respond. Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo ordered that the defendants remain in prison until their bail applications are heard on Tuesday.

Oliseh spotted with Awoniyi in Holland

Former coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Sunday Oliseh, who now handles Dutch side Fortuna Sittard met with Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi. Awoniyi is on a season long loan from Liverpool to Dutch top division side NEC Nijmegen, where he has struggled to hit same height that made Liverpool splash big money to sign him two seasons ago.For now Oliseh’s main task is to steer his team further away from the relegation zone, which is part of the requirements given to him by the club before he is handed an extension.

Man nabbed with human head

                  A man, Tosin Oluwatosin, has been arrested with a human head in Ifaki-Ekiti, Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Oluwatosin and his brother, David, who is at large, were accused of killing the victim. The suspect was grilled by homicide detectives at the state police headquarters to explain the circumstances behind the murder of the 12-year-old victim. thenation  reports.

In a tweet @MBuhari after he met with the leadership of the National Assembly— Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara and Senate Leader Ahmad Lawan —at the Abuja House in London, the President at 9.20pm wrote: “I thank them for visiting. I’m also grateful to Nigerians, Christians and Muslims alike, for their prayers and kind wishes on my health.” President Buhari is on vacation and routine medical check-up in the United Kingdom.
