Chinese city launches lane for cell phone fanatics

                   As cell phones become part of daily lives for many people, there are those unable to put them aside when doing other duties that require equal or more concentration such as driving or walking. To avert accidents and disturbances attributed to mobile phone usage authorities in many parts of the world have banned using phones while driving or walking. Synagogue Building Collapse: Death toll rises to 44, with 139 rescued

                   The death toll from last Friday’s collapsed five-storey building owned by the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, in Ikotun area of Lagos State, rose to 44, yesterday. 25 bodies were recovered by rescue workers from the rubble. On the other hand, six persons, all women, were reportedly rescued alive, thereby raising the number of survivors to 139. Meantime, the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, while condoling with General Overseer of the church, Prophet Temitope Joshua and members of the church, advised that staff and members of the church, should allow emergency workers could do their work. Fashola gave the advice when he visited the scene, yesterday.

Malaysia Reports Suspected Ebola Case

                       Kuala Lumpur (Xinhua/NAN) A 24-year-old Zimbabwean student is currently under observation for Ebola in eastern Malaysian state of Sarawak, on Monday a local official in Health department said. The student fell ill on Saturday and had been transferred to Sarawak General Hospital isolation ward from a private hospital. Sarawak Public Health Assistant Minister, Jerip Susil, said that the student had no related signs to Ebola except for symptoms of high fever. “We will know for sure if this is Ebola, once the test results is out within a week,’’ he added. US Mom Faces Charges for Raping Man

                           Chantae Gilman, a Seattle-based 26-year-old mother of two children, is facing rape charges for allegedly raping a man. The 31-year-old unidentified victim is said to have woken up to find Gilman on top of him, pinning his arms down on the night of June 17th, Daily Mail reports.
