Sophie Okonedo wins Tony award

                               Nigerian-Britsh actress, Sophie Okonedo won the Best Featured Actress award at the recent Tony Awards for her performance in A Raisin In The Sun.The award ceremony recognizes Broadway theatre in America. The 45-year old star received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2005 for her role in Hotel Rwanda.

Omobaba features Patience Jonathan in new song

               Comedian Omobaba has released the video of his single There is God Oh with special appearance by the first lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan.The song features the emotional cry of the first lady and is a protest against the continuous killings in the northern parts of the country.The video is directed by legendary Bunmi Davis, with a cameo appearances by Okey Bakassi, Koffi, Seyi Law, Jafextra, Laff Up, Urch Mouth, GT the guitarman, D1 and SLK. Obasanjo expresses doubt over rescuing all the Chibok girls

                               Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that it might be nearly impossible for all the missing school girls abducted from Chibok in Borno State by Boko Haram to be rescued, Premium Times reports. Obasanjo whose offer to negotiate the release of the missing girls with Boko Haram was turned down by the federal government, said it would take a 'near-miracle' for all the missing girls to be found. The former president blamed the federal government for not acting early enough when the girls were first abducted by the insurgents almost two months ago.

Gospel star, Kefee passes away

                        Gospel singer, Kefee has passed on in the United States, reports Daily Post Kefee collapsed while on a 14-hour flight to Chicago, she later went into coma, doctors revealed that she may never come out of the coma. Her management and family are yet to make any official statement, but condolences have been pouring in on social media.

Timaya in Instagram fight with female critic

                                   Musician, Timaya went into an Instagram fight with a female critic on Thursday, who called him arrogant. The fight started after Nigerian radio stations asked followers on their Instagram page to choose who they’ll go on a date with between Timaya and D’Prince. The follower – @joanpweety picked D’Prince, and said that Timaya was ‘too arrogant’ . As the comments came in, an Instagram user, @joanpweety wrote, “D’ Prince that Timaya is too arrogant” Catching the diss, Timaya responded by calling her “a wheelchair face” he added LOL after calllow.
