Christ Embassy Music Director Arrested for Allegedly Abducting Banker

Music Director of Christ Embassy Church Zone 1, Idimangoro Parish, Agege, Lagos, Edward Nnaji, has been arrested for allegedly abducting a female banker and demanding for a N20 million ransom. According to Daily Post, Nnaji conspired with two others to abduct the victim in Lagos in 2012. They took her to an uncompleted building in Ogun State, where she was kept for four days, with her hands and legs in chains. Continue...

A 22-year old research officer with the Nigeria Governors’ Forum [NGF] was among exceptional graduates who clinched top prizes at the University of Benin 39th and 40th Convocation Ceremonies held on November 19 and 23. Uzochukwu Uchechukwu Alutu, who graduated from the University in 2012, with a First Class in Economic & Statistics, won seven top prizes at the ceremonies  Premiumtimesng .

Fans await new James Bond film title

James Bond fans are awaiting the announcement of the title and cast of the latest film in the franchise later on Thursday. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as 007 in the 24th official film in the series, with Skyfall director Sam Mendes back to direct. Genetic diversity of Sub-Saharan Africa revealed

Scientists have completed a comprehensive study of genetic diversity in Sub-Saharan Africa. The African Genome Variation Project analysed the DNA of 1,800 people living across the continent. The data is helping scientists to understand how susceptibility to disease varies across the region and has provided more insight into how populations have moved within Africa.
