                           Paris Hilton has spent over $300 000 (R3.2m) on a new car. The hotel heiress was spotted leaving a dealership in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, in a black McLaren 650S Coupe which is believed to have set her back between $300 000 and $340 000. Paris, 33, was first spotted at the upmarket dealership back in January and returned on Tuesday to pick up her new super car. The socialite and her pet Chihuahua Peter Pan - who was spotted riding shot gun as she pulled out of the showroom - spent the rest of the afternoon shopping in Beverly Hills' Chanel boutique. Paris - who is the great-granddaughter of the Hilton hotel chain founder, Conrad Hilton - is known for her extravagant spending and has even admitted to owning "well over a thousand" pairs of shoes. Abuja begins hunt for musical stars

                               Diamond Music Entertainment, an Abuja-based outfit on Wednesday expressed optimism of producing a star in its talent hunt audition. The Chief Executive Officer of the outfit, Julietta Ofuyeta, said on the sideline of the auditioning in collaboration with the French Institute in Abuja. Ofuyeta said the FCT was yet to produce a star or famous artists in most musical auditions and competitions organised for young artists across the country. She said this had informed the collaboration with the French Institute as a platform that would bring out talents in youths. "This will enable them not only becoming outstanding superstars in the Nigeria but also competing with the outside world" she said. The chief executive officer said the audition, the second in the series, would put Abuja on the limelight with the winner performing at the World Music Day scheduled for June 21.

Peter Okoye shows how he rolls big

He gave notice of the arrival of his 'new babies' on his Instagram page on Wednesday. The new rides include 2014 editions of a Bentley GT, a Wrangler Jeep and a BMW X6. “Crazy Squareville... Halima Abubakar in lesbian controversy

                           Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar defended her heterosexuality on Instagram after she posted a picture on Instagram that showed her and a female co-star getting intimate on set. Some of her followers on Instagram accused her of being a lesbian after seeing the photo of her on the set of the film Estate Runs “Your corrupt minds won’t let you support your people. Lagos mourns Arisekola passing

   Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, paid his condolences to the family of the prominent Islamic leader and renowned businessman, Azeez Alao Arisekola.. He expressed shock and sadness at the passage of Arisekola at the age of 69. In a message of condolence to the family of the deceased, the Governor said the passage of the frontline politician and religious leader would leave a vacuum that would be very hard to fill in Oyo State in particular and Nigeria in general.Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, in a statement by his media aide, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Wakama, said: “It is unfortunate that Arisekola-Alao died at a time a lot of Muslims would have benefited from his generosity, but Almighty Allah knows best.”
