Sanusi Lamido Sanusi Succeeds Ado Bayero As Emir Of Kano

                                 The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has emerged as the new Emir of Kano after the throne became vacant on Friday following the monarch’s death. The Secretary to the Kano State Government, Rabiu Bichi, announced the name of the new Emir on Sunday. Kwankwaso had said yesterday at the Government House in the state capital, that the announcement will made today (Sunday), after the kingmakers of the Kano Emirate Council paid him a condolence visit. “Insha Allah, by tomorrow (Sunday) those who are responsible to announce the new emir will do so,” the governor said yesterday.

Don Jazzy                     Don Jazzy has hired one a Delta Airline staff who got fired on Thursday for letting him drive around with an airport cart , used for transporting baggage and handicapped passengers, owned by the airline. Don Jazzy announced on Instagram on compensating the sacked man by giving him immediate employment at Mavin headquarters. The producer and Mavin records boss said on Instagram “Ok I took this post before because they threatened to fire this guy with me. Now they have fired him. I guess I can post back since he is now my newest employee. I'm sorry bro but welcome to the Mavin Empire. You will love it here” The incident happened when Don Jazzy was at the airport to catch his flight to South Africa for the MAMAs Don Jazzy shared the video of him riding the cart and said Ok I took this post down before becos they threatened to fire this guy with me. MultiChoice Africa enlist Davido, others for new campaign

                            Nigerian singer Davido and other artists will perform a song for MultiChoice Africa’s upcoming campaign, Other musicians to feature in the song include Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and Lola Rae, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania; Sarkodie, a Ghanaian hip-hop artist and Mi Casa, a South African band. The campaign will officially be launched in Mauritius.

JLo won't perform in World Cup opener in Brazil

  Jennifer Lopez won't perform the World Cup's official song alongside fellow artists Pitbull and Claudia Leitte during the tournament's opening ceremony in Brazil, FIFA officials said on Sunday. Soccer's governing body said Lopez cannot perform at Thursday's event as earlier planned because of unspecified "production issues". The singer's representatives didn't explain the reason why Lopez wouldn't be joining the act. They only confirmed the announcement in an emailed response, saying "regretfully Jennifer Lopez will not be attending this year's World Cup opening ceremonies". FIFA said in a news release that Cuban-American rapper Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte will sing the official tune We Are One before Brazil takes on Croatia at Thursday's opening game in Sao Paulo. The late King of Pop - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in 2009 - left behind children Prince, 17, Paris, 16, and Blanket, 13, who have allocated finances for their living expenses which are separate from the $1m plus their grandmother Katherine receives to watch over them. According to the New York Post's Page Six, Prince's $30 000 yearly tuition at a private school and the six-figure annual sum for Paris to stay at a therapeutic boarding school in Utah following her 2013 suicide attempt, are among the expenses. A family insider also claims Prince has spent more than $50 000 on custom-made jewellery and other gifts to give to at least three different girlfriends.
