                           The Imo state Police command yesterday July 6th paraded 25 suspected and prospective cult members of some polytechnics in Imo state, including the Alvan Ikoku College of Education and Imo state Polytechnic. The Police acting on a tip off from residents of Emi village in Owerri North local government area stormed the Emi river at about 3.30am when initiation process for new members was being carried out.           Though Uche and her husband are no longer together, that still didn’t stop the actress from celebrating their son’s first year birthday as she hosted family and friends last week in Lagos to mark his special day. Friends and family were there to celebrate the lil man but someone who was conspicuously absent at the important occasion was the boy's father and Uche's ex-husband, Juwon Lawal. Uche told friends she wasn't bothered about who attended the birthday party or who didn't as she's finally gotten her grove back and worries less these day.                       The dramatic moment two planes almost collided on a runway in Barcelona has been captured on camera. The footage reveals the near-miss between a Boeing 767 from Russian airline Utair and an Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A340 at El Prat Airport in Spain. It shows the Boeing coming in to land on the runway, making its final approach, as the Airbus, getting ready for a flight to Buenos Aires, taxis across its path. The Boeing is forced to abort the landing, with the pilot carrying out an emergency 'go-around' procedure. The jet, which had travelled from Russia, landed safely shortly afterwards. The heart-stopping incident, which occurred on Saturday, was caught on camera by Miguel Angel, who posted the video to YouTube, where it has already been viewed more than one million times.

                              The body of Habib Olatunde (pictured above), a bank manager of an undisclosed Nigerian bank, has been found two weeks and six days after he was declared missing by the police. Late Mr Olatunde's body was found hanging in an uncompleted building at Arepo in Ogun state on Saturday July 5th around 5pm. Abayomi Shogunle, the Deputy Force PRO, Nigeria Police Force, revealed this.

                                Popular rapper Phyno has released the visuals for his song O set featuring P-Square. this is the third video from his debut album, No Gust (NGNG), after Parcel and Alobam.                                  63 women and girls abducted by Boko Haram Islamic sect from Kummabza village in Borno State about two weeks ago have regained their freedom.Its ambitions have apparently expanded to the destruction of the Nigerian government. On Friday, at least six troops, five police officers and 53 Boko Haram fighters were killed after the militants launched an attack in the town of Bama, the Nigerian defense ministry said. Local residents said half the town was burnt, including the police station. Many of Boko Haram's attacks take place in the northern part of the country, despite the fact that Nigeria's northern half is mainly Muslim and the south is mainly Christian. But the radical militant group does not consider all Muslims as supporters and allies. Boko Haram has allegedly killed Muslim clerics who have dared criticized the group.
