Manchester United forward man Angel Di Maria has put his mega Cheshire mansion up for sale after his wife refused to return to the place following a burglary. The family was eating dinner at their home a few weeks ago when burglars used scaffolding poles to smash their way into his home through patio doors and robbed them. After the incident, the family moved to a hotel while a security company upped the security at their home. But Mrs Di Maria still refused to return to the house forcing Di Maria to put the $6.5million home up for sale while they look for another one.  See what the house looks like after the cut...

Obama, GOP senators clash over Iran letter

President Obama compared a "coalition" of Republican senators with Iranian hardliners for trying to undermine ongoing nuclear negotiations. The 47 senators signed an open letter to Iran saying any deal may only last as long as Obama's presidency. VPC. This is the dramatic moment two helicopters crash midair in Argentina, killing 10 people including three French sports stars taking part in a reality TV show. The video, shown on Argentinian TV this morning, reveals how one of the aircraft smashes into the other from below while flying over trees in a remote town. Seconds later, both craft plunge to the ground and explode in a ball of flames. PRES JONATHAN APPOINTS NEW SURE-P CHAIRMAN

In furtherance of his efforts to continuously re-energize and reposition agencies of the Federal Government for optimal service delivery, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has appointed Mr. Ishaya Dare Akau as the new Chairman of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P). Mr. Akau, whose appointment takes immediate effect, replaces Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (rtd.) who served as Chairman of the SURE-P until today. The new SURE-P Chairman hails from Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State and holds Bachelors’ Degrees in the Arts and Law. Mr. Akau comes to the job with years of experience as a high-level administrator in the nation’s public service. His record of service includes tenures as Chairman of the Kaduna State Universal Education Board and Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission. President Jonathan thanks the outgoing Chairman of SURE-P, Gen Agwai for his service to the nation and wishes him well in his future endeavours. Reuben Abati  ‏

Seven PDP govs in secret meetings with APC — Okorocha

Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum, and governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha said yesterday that seven Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governors were secretly holding meetings and strategizing in favour of his party for the polls. This came as national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said the federal government has allegedly diverted money meant to insure security men, especially those fighting insurgency in the North East. Okorocha, who spoke at APC campaign rally in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos, did not, however, name the PDP governors involved. He said: “Buhari’s victory has been sealed and delivered and today, about seven governors who are not APC are coming to hold meeting with us privately. PDP govs kick as INEC insists on card readers

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, yesterday endorsed last weekend’s trial run on the card readers and resolved to use the device for the forthcoming general elections. The INEC stance nonetheless, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governors were last night locked in a meeting in Lagos where they were articulating strong objections to the use of the device. The PDP governors, who had erstwhile deputy national chairman of the party, Chief Olabode George and other stalwarts in attendance at the meeting, Vanguard learnt, were also raising issues on the term of INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega . vanguardngr.com  reports.

Facebook Argument Ends in Tragic Death of 14 Year Old American Girl

What started out as an argument on Facebook ended in the gruesome death of a 14-year-old girl. CNN reports that a group of girls in Alabama decided to take their fight off Facebook and engage in physical battle at Birmingham park. They planned to videotape the fight and post it online. During the fight, two teenage boys emerged, pulled out their guns, and started shooting sporadically at the girls, killing 14-year-old Kierra’onna Rice and wounding two others. Authorities are speculating that one of the suspects was dating one of the girls who was fighting Kierra’onna

SA mourns Top Rapper “Stabbed to Death by his Girlfriend”

                                The South African entertainment industry is in mourning over the violent death of rapper Flabba (Real Name: Nkululeko Habedi). According to the Police (as reported by SA’s Times Live  , Flabba who gained fame when he joined the famous Skwatta Kamp was allegedly murdered at 2 am on 9 March in Alexandra township in Johannesburg. The stabbing took place in Flabba’s room, he was stabbed in the heart once. His brother, Tshepang said he watched him die. His cousin, Luyanda Habedi said he had tried to resuscitate him by doing CPR and attempted to stop blood which flowed from the wound. An argument took place between Flabba and his girlfriend before his death. His close friend, Nkululeko says they did not expect it to escalate to a physical altercation. The  killer name has not being releases yet. RIP...

Finance Ministry Slashes Ministry of Works’ Budget from N100 Billion to N11 Billion

Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, has revealed that the ministry’s N100 billion proposed budget for 2015 has been cut down to N11 billion by the Ministry of Finance. Onolememen, stated that the finance ministry took the drastic action due to “the economic realities on the ground,” Punch reports.
