Wife of juju maestro, King Sunny Ade and fashion icon, Queen Ahneva Adeniyi- Adegeye, has revealed that African men are naturally born to love more than one woman. The woman born Ahneva Hilson, who got married to King Sunny Ade in 1984, argued that no African man has one wife, arguing that most men have a wife, a mistress and a concubine. Queen ahnevaThe Los Angeles born graduate of Fashion Design from the Art Institute of Chicago disclosed in an interview with a leading magazine, that African men love to spread love across and to have more than one woman they love. “Once you see any man, you see polygamy. No African man has one wife. I don’t care if he’s an indigenous African American or African Caribbean, it’s in their nature to spread love across and to have more than one woman they love. Polygamy only puts a stamp on it to make legal. Most men have a wife, a mistress and a concubine. So, in a way, polygamy is every where in Africa and all over the world.”

Court Acquits Fani-Kayode of 38 out of 40 Counts of Money Laundering

                       A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, yesterday, partly upheld a no-case submission by former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and acquitted him of 38 out of 40 counts of money laundering charges. -Fani-Kayode was charged on an amended 40 count-charge, bordering on the alleged offence by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Trial judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, discharged and acquitted the accused of the 38 counts, while ruling on a no-case submission filed by the defence on behalf of the accused. The court held that from the wordings of the charge, it was clear that they were basically set out in two formats, with counts one to 33 of the same format, while other counts of different formats.   The accused was alleged to have paid the amount into his account, while in the other, he was alleged to have paid it into the account of a third party.”

Four killed in Jerusalem synagogue terror attack

At least four worshippers were killed in an attack on a west Jerusalem synagogue, police said Monday. Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said six people were wounded in the assault, which was described as a "terrorist attack" by the authorities. Samri said the attackers were Palestinians from east Jerusalem. Two assailants entered the synagogue on Tuesday with knives, axes and guns and attacked worshippers. The attackers were killed in a shootout with police. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will "respond harshly" to the attack. He called the attack a "cruel murder of Jews who came to pray and were killed by despicable murderers." Netanyahu blamed the violence on incitement by the Islamic militant group Hamas and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Netanyahu said the international community regularly ignores incitement by Islamic militants in Israel. Continue...

A policeman on highway patrol duty between Ibadan and Lagos shot a motorist on Tuesday, November 11, over aN50 bribe. A commercial bus driver was recently shot by a policeman over a N50 bribe. The incident occured between Lagos-Ibadan expressway at the wee hours of Tuesday, 11 November, as the driver, Umaru Bayi, was on the wheel of a passenger bus bound for Lagos from Jos. As they neared Lagos, the bus was stopped by a policeman in a patrol van on the highway. Continue...

Kenyans rally for woman stripped naked in Nairobi

Kenyans took to the streets of Nairobi on Monday to send a message to men: Stop attacking women because of the way they dress. The protests followed the latest incident of a woman stripped naked in the capital by a group of men who accused her of "indecent" dressing. The attack captured on video last week prompted outrage on social media under the hashtag #mydressmychoice. Protesters marched through downtown carrying placards that read "My dress, my choice" while others donned mini-skirts, the same attire the unidentified woman wore when she was attacked. Emir of Kano calls Nigerians to arms over Boko Haram

One of northern Nigeria's most influential Muslim leaders has called on people to defend themselves against attacks by the Boko Haram militant Islamist group. The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi, said residents should "acquire what they need" to protect themselves. A police spokesman said the Emir's comments were a "call for anarchy" and should not be acted on. The emir, who until earlier this year was governor of Nigeria's central bank, normally stays silent on political matters. Jihadists from the group continue to cause havoc in parts of north-east Nigeria, capturing towns and villages where they have been imposing their own strict interpretation of Islamic law. Ebola Crisis: Sierra Leone doctor dies in US

A surgeon from Sierra Leone who was being treated for Ebola in the US has died, a Nebraska hospital announced. Martin Salia, who has US residency and is married to an American, arrived for treatment in the state on Saturday, in a critical condition. And on Monday morning the hospital said the 44-year-old had died. More than 5,000 people have died in the current Ebola outbreak - almost all of them in West Africa.
