OGUN 2015: Amosun cleared as APC governorship candidate

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has been cleared by the APC to seek re-election on the platform of the party in 2015.
The National Screening Committee for Governorship Aspirants (South West) of the APC, chaired by governor of Gombe state, Senator Danjuma Goje, cleared the governor, yesterday. Goje disclosed that Ogun is the only state that has one candidate in the Southwest, as at the end of sale of forms and the screening exercise.
Governor Amosun thanked the APC leadership for using credible statemen for the screening exercise. He said he would continue to work with the party manifesto which is development-oriented and paramount to the present administration in the Gateway State. The governor expressed optimism that APC will be victorious in the Presidential election, and would thereby extend development across the country. He said “APC will truly make the difference in Nigeria and will be victorious in the Presidential election.”

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.
