Dr. Dre, Jay Z, Drake, and Diddy are the world’s highest paid hip hop acts of 2014, according to Forbes.
Dre has earned a whopping $620 million. Even though he hasn’t released an album in a while, he is the highest paid act due to Apple’s $3 billion purchase of his “Beats by Dre” product line.
Jigga and Diddy come in second with earnings of $60 million. With $33 million, Drizzy is the third highest earning Hip Hop act.
Nicki Minaj earned $14 million, making her the 11th highest paid Hip Hop act, and the only female rapper on the top 20 list.

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.
