President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday sacked the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Andrew Yakubu.
The President, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, named Dr. Joseph Dawha as Yakubu’s replacement.

Abati also announced the appointment of Mr. Anthony Ugonna Muoneke as the new Managing Director of the Nigeria Petroleum Development Corporation.
Further shake-up in the NNPC as approved by the President , according to the statement, saw Ms. Aisha Mata Abdurrahman reassigned as the corporation’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Investment; while Dr. Attahiru B. Yusuf was named the Group Executive Director, Business Development.
The new GMD of the NNPC hails from Borno state.
He has served previously as the Group Executive Director, Exploration and Production, NNPC and Managing Director, Integrated Data Services Ltd, a subsidiary of the NNPC.
Muoneke, the new MD of the NPDC, hails from Anambra state. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985, he has over 29 years’ experience at both local and international levels in the oil and gas as well as the energy and power sectors, including serving as Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limite

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.                        America and five Arab countries have launched dozens of air strikes against Islamic terrorist group ISIS, killing at least 20 militants and blasting a series of its bases.
