FG declares Monday & Tuesday public holidays to mark Eid-el-fitri

The federal government of Nigeria has declared Monday and Tuesday (28-29) public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-el-fitri celebration.
A statement issued in Abuja by the ministry of Interior on behalf of the federal government said the minister of Interior, Abba Moro, enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which he said are love, peace, justice to their daily living and through this contribute to the development of Nigeria.
The Minister also enjoined all Nigerians to seize the opportunity of the holidays to reflect on the imperative of peace in nation building.

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.
