A US airline is unrepentant after kicking rapper will.i.am out of its first class lounge.
The Voice coach says he was asked to leave United Airlines' Global First Lounge after staff said his membership card was fake.
The Black Eyed Peas member took to Twitter to rant about the airline.
"#unitedAIRLINES is the worse. Im a member & I have my card to prove it. but they tell me my card is fake & kick me out the lounge #ouch," the rapper tweeted after the incident.
He then posted a picture of the sign at the front of the club and said "Ha ha ha I got kick out the club...#unitedCLUBsucks [sic]".
The Twitter outrage continued when will.i.am photographed a chair next to a bin at the airport, joking that he would make that his airport lounge.
He didn't say which airport he was at, but the rapper was on his way to Washington to visit friend Sean Combs, aka Puff Daddy.
Ironically, after the argument with United Global First Lounge staff, the rapper was asked by one of the airline's pilots for a photo.
"I get kicked out of the @united lounge because they say I'm not a member . . . oh well . . . & then the @united pilot asks me to take a selfie #WTF," he tweeted.
United Airlines stood by the decision of its staff to ask the rapper to leave.
"We invite only customers travelling in United Global First, customers with Global Services status travelling in United BusinessFirst, and customers travelling in first class on other Star Alliance carriers to visit our Global First Lounges," the airline wrote in response.
"Since the customer did not meet these criteria, he did not have access to the lounge. We are reaching out to the customer and appreciate his business."
Will.i.am was offended nonetheless, tweeting: "I fly so much . . . a business should know their customer".
But the day didn't bring only bad news for the rapper.
Fellow rapper Bow Wow posted a photo on Twitter including will.i.am, Jermaine Dupri, French Montana, Stephen Hill and Puff Daddy at Howard University in Washington.
"Supporting big bro @iamdiddy at Howard University! We too fresh!" Bow Wow tweeted.
