Abducted girls: Borno students declare May 7 lecture-free day

Nigerian Islamist militant group Boko Haram says it carried out the abduction of hundreds of schoolgirls in April.
About 230 girls are still believed to be missing, prompting widespread criticism of the Nigerian government.
“I abducted your girls,” Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said in a video obtained by the AFP news agency.
Meanwhile, a woman who helped organise protests over the abduction has been detained, her fellow community leaders say.
Naomi Mutah took part in a meeting on Sunday called by the president’s wife, Patience Jonathan. Shortly afterwards, she was taken to a police station.
A presidency source quoted by the Reuters news agency said Mutah had been detained for allegedly and falsely claiming to be the mother of one of the missing girls.
But one of her fellow protesters told Reuters Mutah was calling on the authorities to “bring back our daughters” in the broader sense of “daughters of Nigeria”.
“They are so clueless,” Lawan Abana said.
The girls were abducted on April 14 from their school in Chibok, in Borno. punchng reports.

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.
