Chris Brown sued by injured fan

Chris Brown is being sued by a fan for negligence, stemming from a nightclub shooting in January.
Paul Briley has filed a new lawsuit against the Loyal hitmaker and Fiesta Nightclub in San Jose, California, claiming they "failed to provide adequate security" and "failed to implement security procedures" before five people were shot and injured at the end of the singer's performance there earlier this year.
The defendant, who was among the victims, is seeking damages for all of his "physical, mental and emotional pain and suffering" he endured and continues to experience, according to court documents obtained by E! News.
But the 26-year-old star's legal team believe the lawsuit will be dismissed by a judge and they are planning to counter-sue.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the singer said: "It is a poor reflection of our society that violence is so prevalent and it is always a tragedy when someone is physically harmed.
"However, this is a completely frivolous lawsuit. We expect that the case will be dismissed and in future, to avoid these reoccurring meritless lawsuits directed at Chris Brown, we plan to seek damages from all parties and their lawyers."
Chris is also currently embroiled in a custody battle with Nia Guzman over their 15-month-old daughter, Royalty.
