Broadcast: Jonathan calls for peaceful election

President Goodluck Jonathan has called on all Nigerians to come out en masse on Saturday and vote for the candidate of their choices in the Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
In a nationwide broadcast Friday morning, President Jonathan assured Nigerians that all necesary steps have been taken to ensure the safety of Nigerians as they discharge their civic responsibilities.
The president warned that government will not tolerate any attempt by any individual or group to take laws in to their hands as security agencies have been directed to ensure peace before, during and after the elections.

Ray J has given Kim Kardashian his share of the 2014 profits from their sex tape as a wedding gift. The 33-year-old singer has offered his former girlfriend and her fiancé Kanye West a cheque for almost $47 000, which is the amount of money he made from the X-rated Kim Kardashian Superstar video - which was filmed when they were dating in 2007 - between January and April this year. According to gossip website TMZ, Ray picked up $6135.60 in January, a staggering $20 097.31 in February, $9 674.76 in March, and $10 931.52 in April, and under the deal signed with Vivid Entertainment - who say the tape has made an estimated $50m to date - she is entitles to royalties at least the same as her former lover. It is unclear as yet whether Kim - who has 10-month-old daughter North with Kanye - will accept the gift, but if she doesn't, the singer has pledged to donate it to her favourite charity.
